LS Networks Acquires Quantum Communications
LS Networks announced today it has completed the acquisition of Quantum Communications, headquartered in Redmond, Oregon. LS Networks plans to retain all employees and continue to operate and expand Quantum’s existing business in Central Oregon. LS Networks owns and operates a purpose-built, data and broadband IP services network throughout the Pacific Northwest. With the acquisition, Quantum brings a dense network of fiber-optic “last-mile” connections in Central Oregon to the LS Networks Northwest fiber footprint, as well as strong business and residential customers in the communities of Redmond, Bend, Madras, Prineville and Sisters.
“LS Networks has traditionally been focused on ‘middle-mile’ and connecting communities across Oregon,” said Michael Weidman, CEO of LS Networks. “Now that we have the most robust network in Oregon, we are focused on developing a more dense fiber footprint within those communities. Quantum’s solid network design, operations and personnel are an excellent addition to the LS Networks family.”
The result for businesses and residents of Central Oregon is a seamless broadband and data network, combining LS Networks’ long-haul and middle-mile network with Quantum’s local presence in the communities where it operates. LS Networks will continue to operate the Redmond office where Quantum Communications is based, and customers will see no adverse changes in service, rates or terms of their current agreements.
